A little about me..

I paint to hold onto moments that don’t last—light on water, the stillness before a storm, the feeling of being somewhere both grounding and fleeting.

Based in Kingston, Ontario, I create under Out of Office YGK, drawing constant inspiration from Lake Ontario and the 1000 islands and its shifting landscape. As an impressionist painter in both oils and acrylics, I focus less on detail and more on what lingers—the softness of light, movement in the sky, and emotional memory of place.

After a fast-paced career in healthcare technology, I turned to painting as a way to slow down and see more intentionally. I work in layers, building colour and texture intuitively, often drawing from memory rather than reference.

Through my work, I hope to create a quiet sense of calm and recognition—something that feels familiar, even if the place isn’t.
